STATEMENT

My work is a constant conversation between the microcosm and the macrocosm. I truly believe that the only way to know the secrets of the universe is to contemplate nature and our daily experiences with it. For me, the different scales from which an object can be seen are my way of touching and feeling this universe.

My work focuses on a profound desire to inhabit matter in our physical form  through art. In general, I fall in love with a material/Object as if a I fell in love with a person, this is a completely visceral process that has relationships over time, and all my daily life begins to spin, inexplicably, in relation to that material. Collating concepts that start from the microcosm to understand the macrocosm and thus create fictional spaces around the habitability of matter. I am interested in research from disciplines such as biology, geology, physics, chemistry and astronomy, to my daily dreams and the reading of my intuition, that nourish my work of art in an integral way. I really believe that art knowledge comes from an intrinsic and inexorable relationship with the work, with the studio, with experimentation and sensations, and after that, the theory is built and merged with the work.

My work has been developed in Installation (expanded painting), Oil Painting, Engraving, large & small scale Drawing, sculpture, Photography, Performance and Dance.
